Aggregate Conservatism and evolving values

Aggregate Conservatism is a concept coined by DMSG’s members that refers to the fact that on a grand scale, conservative social values usually yield better results for society. This isn’t because these assortments of values empower the individual, but rather because they restrain individuals enough to avoid causing harm to the social fabric and themselves. DMSG believes that social values have evolved throughout time in a Darwinian way, with values that don’t harm reproductive success and civilizations’ integrity getting passed on more often than values that did. The fact that social values have evolved throughout time, fading out or being time-tested again and again, naturally leaves conservative social values to be the best ones out there more often than not because they’re the ones that have survived. In state socialist countries, where top-down rule leads to planners building society around what sustains society, rather than what the individual wants, we see this trend towards promoting conservatism and nationalism as well. This is why we call our concept “Aggregate Conservatism,” because conservative ideals not only work on a macroeconomic scale better than other social values but work better to the extent that top-down systems embrace these values without exception.

DMSG sees the value in Aggregate Conservatism, because as socialists, whatever works for society works for us. The reason DMSG’s members do not take socialist groups in the West seriously is because almost none of them are socially conservative, and their members’ lifestyles often are degenerate. Because existing socialist regimes, both and present, are universally conservative in their social values and what lifestyles they allow to flourish, we don’t consider the West’s motley collection of socialists, all of whom would be in labor camps in they actually lived in the regimes they idolize, to be genuine socialists. DMSG sees them as deformed freaks, that have only managed to grow so deranged in a liberal capitalist society where deformities are something to be proud of and where deficits become immutable characteristics through an excess of accommodations. Socialism for these people, unlike socialism for the working people, is a way to guarantee future subsidies from the state for their degeneracy. The fact that socialism-lite is a way for the deranged in society to equalize themselves with their conservative betters is unfortunate for DMSG, because it does detract from the attraction that socialism poses to the working class and middle class.

DMSG believes that at its core, whatever benefits the workers and their society the most is the best option. The fact that socialist regimes and successful civilizations throughout history have promoted conservative values is not only an indicator of their societal benefits but is also an indictment against unfettered liberalism. Turns out: promoting abortions as a casual contraceptive, having drag queens read to children, pumping children full of puberty blockers, and equating gay partnerships with traditional heterosexual marriages doesn’t help society out that much. The fact that the Soviet Union banned homosexuality, the fact that Yugoslavia banned abortions to increase the birth rate, and China engaged in forced abortions to avoid exhausting projected famines in the future lends credence to the fact that, oftentimes, your choices and preferences can be a burden on society. Even if your choice directly isn’t damaging, the fact that other people in different situations can make that choice and cause harm is a problem for society in legal systems where laws apply to everyone across the board. DMSG is largely state-choice for this reason on social values, and because state-choice prioritizes society over the individual, which often yields conservative values due to their aggregate benefits, DMSG is subsequently anti-liberal.

While DMSG respects the freedoms of people, DMSG would rather leave many personal decisions in the hands of the state because as benefactors of society, the individual owes an obligation to sustain and promote his or her nation’s interests. While DMSG appreciates and recognizes the utility of Aggregate Conservatism, DMSG has created its own philosophy called Reviewism, that takes advantages of technological innovations to promote a system of privileges granted to the individual based on criminal records, substance abuse histories, and social credit. Reviewism, unlike Aggregate Conservatism, is a polycentric legal system where people have privileges, rather than rights, that can be given or revoked by the state if there’s a potential for harm. In this way, it allows people to be free to a responsible extent, not limited by the actions of lumpenproletarians, and uses the marvelous machines of the digital age to create a legal system that simply wasn’t possible in the past. DMSG acknowledges that Reviewism may never materialize, and in the meantime we’re happy to content ourselves with promoting a proletarian, truly conservative system.
